The World Through the Eyes of Conner

While BooBoo was visiting, she taught Conner to use her camera. Conner was quite fascinated, and got really into it. Here are a few of the pictures that he took, to give you an idea...I think he literally took hundreds!

Okay, so Conner didn't take this one by himself. BooBoo helped him set up the timer. It turned out pretty cute, huh?

At the Zoo with BooBoo

BooBoo came and stayed with us for a few days during her spring break...and she took us to the zoo! Yippee! We went to the zoo quite a bit last year when we were in Dallas, but this will be our first trip to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans.

First up were the flamingos: The petting zoo was really fun:

The peacock put on a big show just for us. Conner was very impressed. This zoo even had a cool little playground!
We spent pretty much the whole day on a mission to find the kangroos. Conner was doing his best to read the map and be our navigator. We still (believe it or not!) had a hard time...
...but we found them! G'day mate!We ended our day at the zoo on the carousel. Conner was quite proud to be riding the alligator.
What a fun - but exhausting! - day. Thanks, BooBoo!

Feeling Better

Pheww!! After about a week of passing around a pretty viscious stomach bug, which included a three night stay in the hospital for Micah (fighting dehydration), we are home and feeling much better!

We were all pretty worn down by the time it became apparent that Micah was going to need some extra medical attention, and his four day, three night stay wore us out even more. But, God is good, and we've made it to the other side thanks to the help of family and friends. Micah lost quite a bit of weight, but his appetite is finally back and he is beginning to gain again.

On a positive note, several days of not eating and drinking anything has gotten him completely off the bottle and formula. We just never offered either one when he started eating again! And, he got a lot of practice walking in the hospital (there's not much else to do!), and I think we can officially call him a walker. He's not crawling much at all anymore. It's a little sad...there's not much baby left in him...

Here's a few pictures of Micah Moo from the last couple of days. You can see his cheeks are a bit thinner, but hopefully that will be remedied before long!
