Happy New Year!

Conner and Bret went to buy a few fireworks this afternoon. Conner got to try out a few poppers when they got home, while Micah was taking a nap.

Then, once it got dark, Micah got to join the fun. Bret lit a few blackcats, tanks, and a couple of other random little things. Everyone loved it -- the blackcats didn't even scare anyone! But, Micah lost interest once we got out the poppers and sparklers...he decided that he would rather play golf.

Eventually, though, Daddy came to the rescue, and Micah got excited about a couple of sparklers.

Then the evening was over, and the boys went to bed at the ripe old hour of 6:45. We had a great New Year's Eve. We wish you a happy 2008!

Gammie, Poppy, Aggie, Uncle Adam, and Uncle Kevin came to visit this weekend. We got to have Christmas with them while they were here!

Yogi, BooBoo, and Uncle Ira Come to Visit

Yogi, BooBoo, and Uncle Ira flew in on Saturday and stayed with us for a few days. Yippee! While we were in New Orleans picking them up at the airport, we went ahead and made a little side trip to the French Quarter. (This is Uncle Ira's first visit to New Orleans.) While there, Yogi helped the boys make some French "quarters."

And, of course, no trip to the French Quarter is complete without a trip to Cafe du Monde!

Uncle Ira reminisced with some new Lincoln Logs. He built the log cabins, and Micah knocked them down!

And we even found time to watch The Polar Express with BooBoo on Christmas Eve.
