Fourth of July Parade

We ventured out to join the big downtown Glen Rose fourth of July festivities this morning. The morning started off with a Patriotic Pooch Parade. It was pretty disorganized...and not much of an actual parade really...but I still think the boys thought it was cool to see all the dogs dressed up. :)Then we made our way to the square downtown to find some good seats. It sprinkled on us a little bit - just enough to make it fun to "paint" on the wet spots on the bench, and for Conner to need Yogi to shield his wordsearch book. And then we waited. And waited and waited and waited...but finally we saw the parade coming! And like you do at parades, we waved, collected candy, and waved some more. And then, after spending so long standing right across the street from the local favorite, Pie Peddlers, Yogi bought us a couple of pies - patriotic blueberry and cherry. What a great way to wrap up a fun morning!

Thanks for celebrating with us! I can most assuredly say that we wouldn't have delved into the festivities had you not been here...and it was really quite fun!
